About Common Projects

Minimalist leather sneakers, made to last.

Common Projects began with a simple, almost stubborn idea: that a leather sneaker could be beautiful without a single logo. No bright branding, no gimmicks, just clean proportions, premium leather and a small gold serial number stamped on the heel. That quiet confidence turned a plain white low-top into a modern classic and set the standard for minimalist footwear.

Today we bring that same philosophy to a carefully chosen edit of sneakers, shoes and the flagship Achilles. Every pair we stock is built on the belief that good design is what remains after you remove everything unnecessary.

The Achilles, and what it started

The Achilles Low is the shoe that made the name. A low court profile in smooth Italian leather with a slim rubber cupsole, it proved that restraint could be luxurious. When it first appeared, most premium sneakers were busy with detailing; the Achilles went the other way, and in doing so it created a whole category. It remains the blueprint that every other minimalist sneaker is measured against.

Italian leather

Full-grain uppers that soften and patina with wear rather than cracking, so a pair only looks better with age.

Minimal design

Clean lines, a slim last and no visible branding, just the shape and the quality doing the talking.

Gold serial number

The discreet stamp on every heel, the one signature detail that marks the design.

Craftsmanship you can feel

What separates one of these sneakers from an ordinary trainer is what you notice in the hand: the weight and grain of the leather, the neat finish at every edge, the way the shoe holds its shape instead of slumping after a few wears. The stitching is minimal and precise, the tongue is kept slim, and nothing distracts from the silhouette. It is design by subtraction, and it is why a single pair can carry you from denim to tailoring without missing a beat.

What we stand for

We keep the experience as clean as the shoes. That means a tight, considered selection rather than an endless catalogue, honest descriptions, free shipping across the USA and straightforward returns if the fit is not right. We would rather help you choose one pair you will wear for years than sell you something you forget in a month.

Thank you for choosing us to be part of your journey. When you find your pair, show it to the world.
